iPhone TrueDepth Camera, Face ID coming to iPad Pro

KGI analyst Ming Chi Kuo is claiming that the next variant of the iPad Pro will come with iPhone X TrueDepth camera that supports face ID technology. Ming Chi Kuo also adds that this feature will be limited to iPad Pro models. Keep in mind that iPhone X sports the TrueDepth camera but is absent in iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus. There is no word if the iPad Pro will dump the home button and touched for the TrueDepth camera. That being said even if the Apple iPad Pro keeps the home button, the inclusion of the TrueDepth camera will open more options for the developers and allow the iPad Pro users to enjoy applications that would make use of the brilliant iPhone X’s TrueDepth camera.

Currently iPad Pro comes in two screen sizes – 10.5 inch and 12.9”. Both iPad tablet make use of Apple Pencil and Smart Connectors that cannot be used in non-Pro versions of the iPad.

KGI securities is referring to these iPad Pro tablets as 2018F which means they will not be making their debut this year so you would not be able to buy them during the holiday season. Chances are that they will releasing in June 2018.
