With this app you will be able to record any type of audio being played on your Mac. It can be anything from Skype calls to Internet radio to online streaming audio. Here are the steps on how to install Mac audio recording app and get it running.
First download the application and install it on your computer. The installer has DMG extension which is standard for Mac application setups. To install it, double tap on it. This will mount the image and move app’s contents to Mac’s applications directory.
The installation should take only a few minutes. After that open Movavi Screen Capture app.
Go the recording source list and select Built In input from the list. If you want to record your own voice, then you should select “built in microphone”.
The app is capable of recording video too. Make sure to select the desired resolution of the video. You can adjust and drag the blue frame on your display to fit the size of video.
You can record at 60 frames per second which will ensure that the video output is buttery smooth. There is also an option to record the entire display. Both standard and widescreen formats are supported. Supported resolutions are 480×360, 800×600, 1024×768, 640×360, 800×450, 852×480, 1024×576 and 1280×720. You can choose any one by clicking on Capture Area button.
Now that you have set everything up, hit the record button and the Movavi screen capture app will start recording sounds. To stop just press the stop button. After the recording is finished, a preview window will open on screen. From there you can tap on Play to start playing the video / audio you just recorded.
It shall be noted that all video clips are recorded in H.264 MP4 format. However if you wanted it another format, you can easily do so by clicking on “Convert to” option and select your desired format. Almost all popular video formats are listed including Flash Video (FLV) that is used for YouTube and many other video streaming services.
For some reason if you are unable to find the one you need, just click on “More presents for formats” to find an even bigger list of formats. After you have selected the format, simply tap on “Convert” button to start the conversion process. The entire process is very fast and you will have the final output file for playback in few minutes.
